The Senior Customer Service Representative assists customers with complex inquiries and provides a high level of customer service to visitors.

Essential Duties:

The Senior Customer Service Representative's responsibilities include:

* Assisting customers by phone, e-mail and in person by providing information based on advanced knowledge of Justice Services programs, activities, and policies.

* Checking in defendants and directing them on where to go.

* Determining urgency, priority, and action necessary to serve customer.

* Routing messages and/or referrals to other Department/Division personnel as necessary.

* Following up with customer until matter is resolved or handed off to someone else.

* Retrieve information from systems, perform research, and compile and review information to create reports for distribution.

* Utilizing computerized data entry equipment and various word processing, database and/or file maintenance programs to enter, store and/or retrieve information.

* Assisting customers by troubleshooting technology.

* Processing paperwork, assuming responsibility for correctness of spelling, punctuation, grammar, format, and accuracy of information.

Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent certificate and a minimum of one year of customer service, computer, and data entry skills in social services. Two years of experience is preferred.

Knowledge, skills, and attributes that would be beneficial and lead to success in this role include:

* Strong customer service skills - this position is the first contact in the building.

* Ability to problem solve to de-escalate situations.

* Ability to anticipate and prevent potential problems.

* Knowledge and familiarity of Pretrial/Community Service or criminal justice related programs.

* Ability to recommend process improvements to better serve our customers.

Offer of employment contingent of criminal history check and education verification.
