653964 - Software Development/Operations Engineer Lead


Leidos has an immediate opening for a Software Development/Operations Engineer Lead.

The Software Development Operations Engineer Lead will work side by side with the software engineering, and operations teams and will be responsible for designing, implementing and automating build, release, deployment, monitoring and configuration activities.

Job responsibilities:

A successful candidate will have strong priors around automation design and implementation in real-time systems or high-reliability environments.

This role is broadly equivalent to that of a site-reliability engineer.


Education and Experience:

BS degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree

or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience, May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.

Security Clearance Requirements:

U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of experience with Bash or Python, ideally in an automation focused capacity

2+ years of experience leading implementation of CI (Jenkins, Bamboo).

2+ years' experience using configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack).

3+ years Linux and Windows system administration.

Professional experience with Git (GitHub, Bitbucket).

Working familiarity with VMware or KVM.
