This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Waccamaw Center for Mental Health, Georgetown County Clinic, 525 Lafayette Circle, Georgetown, SC 29440.

Under general supervision will serves as Clinic Supervisor providing program oversight and direct supervision to the staff of the Georgetown Office of Waccamaw for Mental Health. Will evaluate and monitor staff performance and quality of work to ensure policy and program standards are met and goals are achieved. Provides direct clinical and performance management of staff with the program. Oversees the Peer Support Program for Georgetown County.

Provides direct clinical supervision to staff to include group and individual staff meetings/trainings, observation of staff in clinical setting to improve quality of services provided to adults and children. Provides training for new staff on clinical and administrative polices and procedures related to SCDMH Corporate Compliance, and CARF standards. Acts as a liaison with the Georgetown County School District to enhance community partnership, funding support and clinical services.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:State Requirements: A bachelor's degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Agency Requirements: Master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences and three (3) years experience in a clinical counseling program. Must be able to meet DMH credentialing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with clients and their families in a community mental health setting. License preferred. A Master's degree in counseling or one of the social sciences. Considerable knowledge of methods, principles and practices of clinical assessment, interviewing, counseling individuals, families, and groups. Knowledge of community services provided by other public and private agencies. Ability to integrate and coordinate services with those of other disciplines and in other community agencies. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families and representatives of other professional disciplines.

Additional Comments:Employee will work in both Children's Services and Adult Services, and is available to serve all clients of the Georgetown Office as the Program Supervisor.
