Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
This position is located at the State Treasurer's Office and reports directly to the Cash Management Deputy Treasurer. This position will be responsible for the following: *Serve as the Treasurer's Office personnel/HR liaison which includes organizing a comprehensive personnel services program, processing payroll and record documents, FMLA, workers' compensation, onboarding new staff, creating and/or updating HR policies and procedures, and other HR related items; *Oversee the office's contracts, assists with requests for proposals (RFPs), and serves as the office's certified contract manager; *Assists the Deputy Treasurer of Cash Management with assisting State agencies with their banking, courier service and cash vault needs; *Prepares daily State cash flow analysis; *Internal controls; and *Performs fiscal duties over one budget account including preparing the budget request, work programs, fiscal closing, approving purchase orders and other fiscal related items. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis. Special Notes Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 7 years of experience of which 2 years were at the paraprofessional level and 5 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures. Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
