Location Profile:

Located in Gardena, California, Permaswage designs and manufactures separable and permanent fluid fittings and installation tooling for aerospace and defense applications.

Position Summary:

Administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

* Under general supervision supports a variety of HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, employee record-keeping, and specialized HR projects.

* Act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.

* Collect and analyze human resources data as assigned, and make recommendations for changes to management.

* Execute human resources policies and procedures.

* Support plant management, create reports and provide HR related data and metrics as assigned

* Administer employee compensation, training and benefit programs.

* Help coordinate recreation programs through contacts within company and with outside contractors. Counsel and advice employees regarding concerns about benefits, company policies and workers compensation

* Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

* Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

* Interacts with managers in HR activities: Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

* Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

* Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

* Other duties may be assigned



* Associate's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-Year College or technical school; five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to read and comprehend instructions, email and phone correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Payroll systems; Internet software; Human Resource systems; Project Management software and Contact Management systems.


* Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment

* Experience in an aerospace machining environment
