Surgical services Technician (AST)

1. Process loaner and consignment instrument and system returns: cleaning and disinfection of GPS system components, completing required forms, updating the inventory control system, performing functional checks, and restocking. Initiate the processing of those instruments that do not satisfy the quality standards (Non-Conforming instruments). Refer complaints of service or product failure to appropriate departments.

2. Perform service and repairs on instruments and GPS systems and provide disposition of obsolete or worn instrumentation in accordance with established procedures.

3. Stock instrument storage bins and system components in designated storage areas.

4. Assist in the filling of orders.

5. Provide on call services as necessary.

6. Understand and follow all departmental SOP's. Document and report any process deviations to team leader.

7. Understand and comply with all department safety policies and procedures.

8. Download surgical data from the systems returning from the field and upload them to the network.

9. Verify the key indicators (e.g., RMS values) of the Advanced Surgical Technologies Products including ExactechGPS components.

10. Analyze data from inspections, performance tests, and maintenance repairs and prepare report on the findings.

11. Set-up the configuration parameters of the Advanced Surgical Technologies (ExactechGPS) prior to field deployment in order to match the requirements from the end customer.

12. Ensure and maintain cross-compatibility between the components of the Advanced Surgical Technologies (ExactechGPS).

13. Perform work related tasks of defined preventive maintenance to Advanced Surgical Technologies (ExactechGPS) equipment while ensuring traceability.

14. Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.

15. Assist and support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary.

Job Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution preferred

Experience:

* 3 years experience preferred for this job.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

* Actively seek for improvement in the way to accomplish his/her daily work

* Detailed oriented person

* Proficient in MicroSoft office products (Word, Outlook, Excel…)

* Experience with inventory tracking systems (e.g. MFGPro) preferred
