Technical Service/Reliability Leader

Position Summary:

Job Description Overview

* The Technical Service Leader will have overall responsibility for leading a team of technical professionals to fulfill the Sistersville sites reliability, automation, and process design goals. The position reports directly to the Engineering and Maintenance manager and is a vital part of the site leadership team.

Job Responsibility

* Develop and sustain an EHS Culture where "everyone in the company works together to make each other safer every day"

* Provides safety leadership to direct reports and models safe behaviors at the site. Helps direct, maintain, and enforce site safety programs and safety culture.

* Provides direct supervision and coaching for the following roles:

* Reliability Engineers, by evaluating the reliability losses and setting targets and preconditions for improvement. Ensuring appropriate level of operations support is provided to ensure manufacturing stability.

* Process Engineering team, by ensuring project design concepts are consistent with industry practices, Momentive, and site standards. Provides appropriate support to the operations team to solve complex problems and peak resource support as needed.

* Control Systems and Automations Engineers, by evaluating automation and control strategies for the site. Provides appropriate support to the operations team for maintenance of the site control systems/database architecture.

* Influences, makes decisions, coaches, and provides leadership to all technical services personnel to achieve desired performance and skill development.

* Leads integrated (Design, Pd/PM programs, Standardization, Machine/Process interface, and Asset Care Plans) reliability efforts for the site

* Develop and Implements site-wide maintenance strategies that promote equipment integrity, improved reliability, preventive/predictive maintenance programs.

* Establishes and maintains process for continuous improvement and cost reduction.

* Develops strategies to effectively use automation and data to drive stability in the operation.

* Ensure plant operations are properly supported to ensure the safe execution of the production schedule.

* Provides hands on leadership to the technical services team and can be expected to lead projects/programs directly.

* Excellent cross functional teamwork skills and demonstrated ability to deliver for the customer (internal and external)

* Strong technical leader, well versed in a variety of unit operations and process technologies

* Demonstrated track record of utilizing a variety of tools to drive continuous improvement and reliability.

* Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

* Minimum of ten years manufacturing experience in a process safety management environment.

* Proven track record of delivering results through program development, leadership of teams, and/or through direct reports.

* Demonstrated ability to be effective in a matrixed organization and excellent service to internal customers.

* Can accept and use constructive feedback to influence and align others.

* Knowledge of chemical manufacturing maintenance systems and techniques as well as knowledge of maintenance excellence practices.

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical)

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of the diverse field of Silicone/Silanes chemistries

* Lean/Six Sigma Experience.

* Experience with leading or executing reliability programs

* Knowledge of project management practices and widely accepted design standards
