The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Job Purpose:

This role performs a variety of duties to acquire, inventory, and distribute parts, supplies, tools, and documents used in the daily operations of the Fremont's plant. Provides customer service; maintain a relationship between the shipping and receiving, accounts payable, and the purchasing departments. Position requires familiarity with a wide variety of supplies and equipment and the ability to interpret detailed information including purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

* Acquires and expedites materials on a daily basis from vendors ensuring timely shipment of quality products to our customers.

* Assists the Maintenance Mechanic - Parts & Hazardous Waste in planning warehouse space utilization, storage aid requirements, and stock level computations.

* Maintains, stocks, and helps supervise parts area, rooms, inventory, and tool storage.

* Ensures storage of stock in the correct warehouse location.

* Assigns appropriate location to new stock items that maximize available warehouse space and forecasted activity of the items

* Selects stock for issue in accordance with Sanmina procedures.

* Packs stock and prepare shipments and documentation in accordance with Fremont plant procedures.

* Researches receiving documents as required to determine status of incoming shipments

* Operates parts acquisition/distribution system, bar coding equipment, and purchase ordering system.

* Identifies fixed assets when they are delivered to the plant and arrange for proper tagging.

* Confirms customer orders in process, and pre-shipment review of each order to help meet delivery and product quality.

* Develops and executes of daily/weekly/monthly production floor schedules to insure on-time delivery per committed due dates.

* Analyses the resolution of material issues and shortages, including timely reporting of materials transactions to ensure inventory accuracy (as required).

* Develops effective working relationships with all personnel to accomplish on-time delivery objectives

Education and Experience

* High school diploma

* 1 year of related experience

* Basic computer entry skills.

* Accuracy and details with numbers required

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

* Strong written and verbal skills for effective communication

* Qualified candidate must be a US Citizen
