Mechanical Engineer - PCS (1348-146)

Applies diversified knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

* Using specialized mechanical engineering knowledge and experience, identifies, understands, and documents customer or product requirements; develops technical specifications and schematics with other engineering disciplines.

* Ensures that all products and designs comply with any regulatory or legal requirements.

* Develops prototypes, test plans, and validations through analysis and testing.

* Researches and document new technologies; participates in or conducts design reviews.

* Has responsibility for the mechanical engineering components of a large project or a complex component of a single project.

* Exhibits influence within a work group; works well with other engineering and technical team members.

* Interfaces with sales, manufacturing, and supply chain to design and deliver solutions.

* Responsible for creating, developing and managing current and new product offerings plunger lift product lines.

Required Experience

* Up to two years of relevant experience.

* Strong knowledge of drafting procedures, GD&T, parametric 3D modeling (Inventor, SolidWorkds, SolidEdge, 2D drafting in AutoCAD.

* Experience with metal fabrication techniques (CNC Machining, welding).

* Experience with performing tolerance analysis on complex assemblies.

* Ability to create & revise part/assembly drawings

Required Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

* College, university, or equivalent degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Science, or related subject required.

* Certification applicable to the country of employment, such as APEGA, required.

* Courses and seminars required to maintain appropriate certifications.
