Job Description SummaryReporting to the Director North America Optimization, the Sr. Manager NA Supply Chain Optimization will deliver upon end-to-end supply chain excellence for NA SC. They will also delivery yearly cost-savings commitments via enhance operational efficiency, project execution, deployment of lean methodologies, Global Supply Chain Capabilities (people, processes & systems), NA SC Metrics, PMO, Knowledge management, Communication and coaching and mentoring of NASC associates.

This position will have sphere of influence across NASC staff sites and Distribution centers: the Sr. Manager NA Supply Chain Optimization will provide leadership to enhance CI capability through aligning, training, supervising, administrating, coaching, and metric tracking of all NASC activities.

The Sr. Manager NA Supply Chain Optimization independently coaches and mentors BD associates, including management, on CI methods, project management and issue resolution.


Job Description


* Responsible for delivering Cost-to-Win cost-savings targets through planning and oversight of DC and business Optimization activity.

* Drive the deployment of Lean, CI, Project Management and related tools and methodologies throughout the business and the distribution centers.

* Sustains proper behaviors and holds the sites accountable for sustainment of improvements through coaching and leadership.


* Has global orientation to continuous improvement and optimization

* Knowledge and experience in supply chain, transportation, warehousing, project management, and engineering within a medical device environment (preference, but not required)

* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying SQDCP impact

* Ability to lead cross-functional projects with geographically diverse teams

* Have a thorough understanding of Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, developing standard processes, writing procedures, mentoring, and training groups of associates


* Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, operations management or related degree

* A minimum of 10 years of experience in a business operations, supply chain or manufacturing environment

* A minimum of 3 years of experience implementing or change or continuous improvement in a manufacturing or business process environment

* Six sigma Green Belt certification required

* Lean Leader certification required

* Ability to work independently and influence, with and without direct authority, production associates, staff associates, site management, and senior business management.

Additional and Preferred Skills and Qualifications

* A Master's degree in a related discipline

* Black Belt certification

* Senior. Lean Coaching Certification preferred

* Project Management certification is preferred

* Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and a track record of problem resolution

* Knowledge of BDX SAP system.

* Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

* Strong project management skills
