Job Summary

The Business Support/Systems Analyst position is a Tier 2 & 3 support role intended to provide continuous service and support to the various products and systems impacted by both NextGen/SDM/STO and CeridianTax. The analyst will work with the staff and various business units to ensure the process designs are built and functioning as required including UAT testing. This position is also capable of providing Tier 2 support on issues related to the receipt and transmission of tax files from Ceridian's various partner ERPs and customers. Lastly, this position is specifically responsible for one or more ERPs, products, or systems that are impacted during or after the transmission and consumption of tax files.


* Provide Tier II/III analytical and technical support for all production-related inquiries and issues. Escalate problems to appropriate teams, when necessary. In addition, provides analytical and technical support for one or more assigned ERPs.

* Perform analytical and technical preparation, processing, and maintenance activity required to complete production.

* Provide operational representation for cross-functional teams on production planning, development, and support activity. Lead and support projects when necessary.

* Direct day-to-day work activities and provide next level of escalation for problem resolution. Provide technical knowledge transfer and mentoring to team members.

* Coordinates internal and external resources to develop and implement timely and effective solutions to client requests/issues. Recommends enhancements to current technical procedures.

* Participates in planning, and execution of test cycles and acceptance testing.

* Supports Service Operations during QE/YE processing which includes weekend support.

* Actively lead and participates in all phases of project development to ensure a smooth transition into production for the users, clients and support personnel.

* Develop and execute scripts and utilities. Perform special production processing and install new releases and updates to application software going into production.

* Perform manager's duties in his/her absence.

* Work with Implementation team on client migrations, testing, and operations essential to the department.

* Monitor compliance of current processes within the team.


* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent work experience

* 4+ years relevance experience in HCM, Payroll Tax Industry desired

* Experience working with SQL/Oracle databases, Unix/Linux, MS Azure, scripting preferred

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Proven analytical skills, problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills

* Ability to manage multiple priorities

* Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and organizational skills
