Position Purpose

Provide TEAMS data entry and generate and summarize TEAMS reports for Teacher and Administrator use.

Essential Job Functions

* Timely and accurate entry of student and staff information into the Texas Educating Adults Management System (TEAMS).

* Retrieve and archive student information

* Provide and summarize reports from the data stored in the TEAMS system

* Assist teachers and administrator with review and analysis of TEAMS related data for program improvement

* Assist students and the public as necessary

* Assist with some office administrative task as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Ability to retrieve, understand, and enter students data in to the TEAMS system in a timely and accurate manner

* Ability to work with site staff to collect student data in a timely and accurate manner

* Ability to aid site staff in retrieving, organizing, and storing students data as required in SOP

* Ability to provide needed reporting based on students data

* Ability to use software to create spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.

* Ability to organize and coordinate work.

* Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written forms.

* Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.

* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

* Ability to work confidentially with discretion

Travel Requirements

* Travels to adult education locations and professional meetings as required.

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards

* Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals

* Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

* Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse

* Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

* Environment: Work is performed in an office setting; may require occasional irregular and/or prolonged hours to include some nights and weekends.

* Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.

* Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions

Minimum Required Qualifications

* Education: High school diploma or GED

* Experience: Three plus years of secretarial experience

* TEAMS entry experience. (preferred)

* Experience in Adult Education (preferred)

* Working knowledge of Texas Workforce Commission grant requirements and deliverables (preferred)

* Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
