The Sr Project Engineer will partner with various specialized engineering programs to support the manufacturing process and product design initiatives for future vertical lift.

Position Responsibilities:

Provides guidance to Manufacturing Innovation engineers in project management best practices, techniques, and opportunities.

Capture and maintain process and product requirements defined by Subject Matter Experts to understand and implement a variety of concurrent technology development projects for optimal performance.

Manage and control cost, scheduling, resource plans, risks and contingency plans, budget, deliverables, project changes, and accomplishments.

Develops standardized work for production and engineering implementation.

Collaborate with external suppliers, partners, and internal departments (multiple engineering disciplines, manufacturing, procurement, finance, IT).

Verify and validate engineering designs with system models and requirements.

Develop project management and system analysis tools and capture best practices / lessons learned.

Leads business case development and capital acquisition requests (CAR) for project justification and funding.

Position Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical discipline.

* Preferred Project Management Professional Certification.

* AT least 5 years of experience in Aerospace or related technical industry with background in Engineering and Manufacturing.

* Experience with creating and/or executing test plans for manufacturing research and development projects.

* Experience using MS Project, Primavera, or similar for earned value measurement.

* Experience using SAP Financials module, or other budgeting software.

* Exposure to leading small-medium-large impact projects or product programs in a flight technology environment.

* Experience with capital management, project scheduling, manpower forecasting, and project or program budgeting.

* Exposure to Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing principles.

* Understanding of advanced manufacturing technical principles, theories, and concepts to develop imaginative manufacturing technology on existing or advanced designs, concepts, processes, systems, and tools.

* Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
