Job Summary

The Project Controls (PC) Specialist - Mid provides intermediate project controls knowledge, cost, and schedule management principles in analyzing project management data.

Principal Accountabilities

* Under minimal supervision, perform all project control activities and ensure project administration, change management, project estimating, cost management, and schedule management tasks are executed in a timely fashion and in accordance with all company standards and contractual requirements

* Assist in development of scope, schedule, budget, and estimate to complete data for assigned tasks

* Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and develop schedules and budget data (including resource loading) for those WBS elements

* Collect, interpret, and input schedule and cost data into project control database and provide output to project team

* Assist management with risk assessment that may affect project profit, costs, schedules, and client relations to include moderately complex elements of: estimate to complete data gathering, schedule update comparisons, variance cause investigations, CDRL data gathering, and report compilation

* Interface with project team to define scope of work, need for change to budgets and schedules, and identification of variances from original plan

* Assist in preparing status reports and other related project planning and control documentation

* Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

* Ability to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients, and others in contact with the job

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office software

* Competent in cost management, schedule management, or baseline change management

* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills

Experience & Education

* Minimum three (3) years of experience in finance, business, or related field

* Experience with EVM, cost reporting, and scheduling software

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Prefer Bachelor's Degree in associated discipline

* Prefer certification from an accredited, related organization such as AACE, PMI, etc.

* Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

* Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable

* Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions

* Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions

Generally works in a normal office environment. However, due to operational locations of various Task Orders under LOGCAP IV, may be required to travel domestically and internationally, on short notice, to austere environments under harsh living conditions, for periods of time not longer than 179 days.
