General Description:

Assists Engineering department to produce structured solutions, plan, coordinate and support Metal Coatings facilities.This includes, but is not limited to, the galvanizing process, project management, budgeting, and standard operating procedures.

Education, Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

Applicants should be in persuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science or Engineering.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Abilities in MS Office, specifically, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other analytical and planning tools. Strong analytic and deductive reasoning skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities:

Our Metal Coatings team is hard-working, goal-oriented and creative, and they are looking for interns to participate in aspects of:

  • Engineering
  • Environmental Health and Safety
  • Manufacturing Operations
  • Research and Development
  • Capital Project Management
  • Cost analysis
  • Process documentation and implementation

Work Environment:

Primarily air conditioned office.

Physical Demands:

Sitting for long periods at a computer, standing, walking and some minor lifting.

Schedule:

This paid internship is for the summer of 2022, preferably early May through late July. Exact dates are flexible. Typical schedule would be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Travel:

Some minimal travel may be required.
