Qualis Corporation is seeking a Information Technology/Cyber Security Engineer. The 96th Test Wing (96TW), headquartered at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), is host to a wide range of activities that support all services, multiple Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, Contractors, and Allied Nations. The 96TW, under the command of AFTC, is the T&E center for Air Force air-delivered weapons, navigation and guidance systems, Command and Control systems, and Air Force Special Operations Command systems. The Wing provides expert evaluation and validation of the performance of systems throughout the design, development, acquisition, and sustainment process to ensure the warfighter has technologically superior, reliable, maintainable, sustainable and safe systems. The 96th Test Wing performs DT&E across the complete system life cycle for a wide variety of customers including: Air Force Systems Program Offices, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), logistics and product centers; major commands; other DoD services and United States (US) Government agencies (Department of Transportation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), etc.); foreign military sales; and private industry. This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL.

Essential Functions:

* Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of classified Information Systems (IS) and data using Air Force Approved network engineering, information security standards and approved industry best practices.

* Provide IT Support for test area real-time computers, support computers and network systems.

* Employ approved new technologies.

* Provide IT support for application development, planning, network implementation, systems integration, communication support, computer-communication maintenance, asset management and security controls

* Provide IT function for collecting, controlling, disseminating, documenting, and resolving user questions and problems

* Perform initial and recurring Certification and Accreditation of systems or networks at the appropriate protection levels.

* Assist the government in producing maintaining and revising Cybersecurity Operating Procedures, System Security Plans and maintaining Approval to Operate documentation in eMass.

* Development, implementation and updating of Information Management Plans.

* Development, coordination and implementation of short and long term strategies for reliable and secure operation, evolution, and growth of the automation hardware and software infrastructure.

* Perform upgrades, security patches, back-ups, account maintenance, and access control maintenance.

* Perform security scans to ensure systems are compliant to STIG and patch level.

* Perform generation and collection of audit logs for IS.

* Perform system changes in accordance with the Configuration Management processes for the 782 TS.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant field with 3-10 years experience. Experience may be substituted for education with government approval.

* Must be compliant with DoD 8570.01-M with Security+ certification.

* Knowledge and expertise in Cybersecurity requirements, network technologies, and computer security as applied to Department of Defense (DoD) networks

* Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system problems required.

* Familiarity/proficiency with processes and functions, information technology hardware and software products, as well as, computer peripherals (e.g. printers, monitors, hard drives, docking stations, scanners, etc.).

* Basic understanding of Linux Operating Systems (OS) environments.

* Must have an understanding of the specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.

* Must have ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical objectives and mission and provide effective solutions.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.

* Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 96TW as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.

* Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.

* Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

* Must be willing to travel up to 5%.

Security Clearance:

* Must hold an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance with last investigation within 5 years.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
