Measurement Technician B (9161-323)

Essential Functions:

* Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain all gas measurement equipment including but not limited to: Dry flow recorders, EFM's, USM's, orifice plates, and meter tubes.

* Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain all gas quality equipment including gas chromatographs, O2 analyzers, H2S analyzers, H2O analyzers, and composite samplers.

* Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination.

* Collect gas and liquid samples in compliance with company safety and industry guidelines.

* Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices, maintaining a safe working environment.

* Prepare accurate reports and records of work performed.

* Work independently with minimal supervision.

* Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

* Required Education:

* Some college or technical trade school preferred.

* High school diploma or general equivalency.

* Must possess basic math skills.

* Excellent communication skills to interface with customer base.

Preferred Skills:

* 3 years industry related measurement or instrumentation and electrical experience.

* PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:

* Exposure to hazardous conditions, adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting.

* Subject to 24 hour call out 7 days per week with possible extended workdays.

* Knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API and GPA requirements and procedures.

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

* Ability to drive for long periods of time over a vast region.

* Repetitively standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and twisting for long periods of time.

* Climb ladders up to 25 feet.

* Ability to use torque wrench and hand tools (20-600 lbs. of force)

* Walk on uneven terrain.
