Customer Service Specialist Part-Time

Currently, we are looking for a Part-time Customer Service Specialist to join the ArcBest team. The primary responsibility of a Part-Time Customer Service Specialist will be to provide customer support by proactively monitoring ArcBest shipments and quickly resolving problems as they arise.

Your contribution may include:

* Schedules pickups, tracks freight, works with ABF service centers to meet customers' expectations

* Working closely with ArcBest Trade Show Department

* Submits customer quote requests

* Assists customers with billing disputes

* Handles general customer service concerns

* Answers customer requests via phone and email

* Maintains communication to ensure freight delivery within the customer's expectations

* Masters multiple complex computer programs

* Assists in mode optimization and ensures customers are directed to the appropriate departments

* Works with drivers to receive accurate tracking details of shipments

* Ensures timely notification of service options, conflict resolutions, rate negotiations, and re-consignments

* Notifies customers of delays or shipment irregularities

* Other duties as assigned

* Education: High School diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

* Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, proficient understanding of PC and mainframe applications, including internet.
