GFA International is currently seeking a full-time Scheduling Manager in our Fort Myers, Florida office.

GFA is a full-service engineering consulting firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and material testing, and building inspections. Established in 1988 and is Floridas Leading Engineering Source Our clients include contractors, developers, owners, engineers, architects, state and local governments, school boards, departments of transportation, universities, banks, and realtors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


* Manager will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating all field personnel

* Manager will take all incoming scheduling calls and emails from clients for new and ongoing projects

* Manager will track GFA vehicle locations as related to field operations and scheduling

* Manager will check in with all field staff after each project is complete

* Manager will ensure technicians arrive as scheduled and coordinate with client any delays

* Manager shall ensure lab samples and chain of custody are promptly and correctly delivered to lab

Contracts / Project Management:

* All new contracts will be reviewed for technical specifications before scheduling work activities

* Manager will notify Department Manager of any projects being scheduled without a signed contract

* Manager will work with Department Managers on managing project budgets and overruns


* Manager will assist Department Manager in review of timesheets as related to scheduling and field operations for accuracy

* Manager will work with Department Managers on meeting target profit percentages by scheduling efficient scheduling

* Manager will monitor the turnover of field reports to ensure all reports for scheduling requests have been turned in daily


* Manager will maintain a high level of customer services as the main contact for many GFA Clients

* Coordinate Change Orders with Team Members when performing work outside of contract scope

* Manager may be included in estimating, proposal review, RFP, RFQ preparation and review for CMT services.

Training & Licensing

* Manager will ensure field staff have the required certifications for the scheduled work activities

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Excel. Must be able to use search engines of the internet and navigate in and out of web based management sites and company file directories.


A background in the construction industry is preferred and demonstrates the ability to read and review construction plans and specifications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 10 or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
