This position is responsible for operating and monitoring wastewater treatment facilities in accordance with the Florida rules, regulations and statutes. Insure proper plant compliance via various process control tests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Insure proper plant compliance via various process control tests.

* Water analysis on all stages of treatment.

* Monitor and control system pressures and levels.

* Inspect chemical deliveries and unlock appropriate tank fill valve.

* Adjust plant equipment for compliance.

Requirements:

* Possession of a Florida Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Class "A", "B", or "C" certification is required.

* Operator "A" Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from High School or GED and five years of related work experience.

* Operator "B" Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from High School or GED and three years of related work experience.

* Operator "C" Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from High School or GED and one year of related work experience.

* Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

* Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Supplemental Information:

* Knowledge of tools and equipment used for daily operations of treatment facility.

* Knowledge of lab supplies.

* Ability to perform necessary tests and analysis.

* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; verbally and in written form.

* Knowledge of treatment facility regulations and specifications.

* This position requires a rotational shift to cover 24/7 operations.

* Shifts are 40 hours per week and can include nights, weekends, and holidays.
