Position Description:

The Success Coach is responsible for a variety of activities related to student support services for students under the COSI Community Partner Program. The Success Coach will provide pre-collegiate support to low-income, first generation, and minority students in our partner schools of Fort Morgan and Brush High Schools. The Success Coach will provide transition support services between high school and college. This position will provide support services for the identified population during their college career. Position is responsible for maintaining complete records on activities and numbers of students served for reporting purposes. Must travel as necessary to carry out job duties and participate in occasional evening and weekend commitments.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

* Two (2) years of experience in an advising related role.

* Able to work effectively with at-risk students.

* Exceptional organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and effectively execute multiple initiatives, programs, and events. Able to meet established deadlines.

* Strong interpersonal communication, demonstrated ability to establish and develop productive and collegial relationships, collaboration, and communication.

* Able to resolve complex problems and student issues, as well as work with confidential and sensitive information and records.

* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally. Effective public speaking skills; ability to make group educational presentations.

* Computer skills in Microsoft Office, presentation software, and an ability to utilize database tools to track monitor and organize students and communications.

* Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects, compliance with deadlines, length of institutional day and week, and committee service, including the ability to participate in evening and weekend commitments as necessary.

* Ability to travel as necessary to carry out job duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree from an accredited institution in counseling, student services, or a related field

* Bilingual

* Three (3) years of experience with student advising in a fast paced, educational environment.

Anticipated Start Date: July 2018

Salary: $41,700 based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental insurance, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.
