* Plan, organize, direct, and accomplish studies, analyses and evaluations of plans, programs, projects, policies, and procedures to develop the basis for institutionalizing security consideration.

* Provide technical guidance to technical specialists in areas such as security lifecycle, network communication, and systems development, and documentation.

* Responsible for developing statements of work, acquisition packages, deliverable evaluations, and vendor performance.

* Conduct testing of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and Government off the Shelf (GOTS) information assurance software.

* Develop and establish evaluation and test criteria, develops test plans, develops test, establishes test environments within IA/NetOps test laboratory, and implements test plans to ensure required application and security functions.

* Research the applicability of new technological developments in the field to solve continuing problems or meet future needs of the Defense Information Infrastructure.

* Ensure DOD and DISA security policies, procedures, and practices are adhered to when providing engineering solutions to all projects.

* Provide advice to decision-makers in setting program goals and establishing priorities to support the development of policy and procedures for implementation of higher level guidance; monitoring, evaluating, and coordinating assigned functions.

* This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

* This is an Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT/L) Workforce position. The employee must meet DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the duties of the position.

* OGE Form 450 Disclosure Statement required.

* Pre-Employment Drug Screen Required.

* DISA acquisition workforce DAWIA position in the Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (AT and L) IT career field. Selectee must be level 2 certified (or eligible within 24 months of appointment) in the (AT and L) IT career field.


Basic Requirements:

Applicants must demonstrate on their resume that they have IT-related experience and/or education demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Specialized Experience:

For the GS-13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-12 if outside the Federal service, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as experience providing Cybersecurity (CS) technical support and guidance for new and current information systems and networks, isolating and identifying risks in their design and providing recommendations for countermeasures to be installed.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of knowledge, skills and abilities, or competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Applicants must describe how their experience meets the competencies within the body of the resume. No separate statements addressing KSA's or competencies are required.
