Responsibilities

* Utilizing Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) to oversee the collection, accurate accounting and reporting of funds; to collect and maintain up-to-date data for planning and reporting purposes IAW higher headquarters and statutory requirements.

* Uses an electronic Point of Sale system and calculator to compute/record individual transactions for customers, to enter data into predefined categories for regulatory-signed statistical reports and tracking of income data as it pertains to the CYS.

* Providing administrative support, such as typing/word processing, E-Mail/mail preparation, copying, mail distribution, filing and, telephone communications

* Using office automation equipment and word processing software to prepare correspondence, memorandums, briefings and Daily Activity and other reports required for day-to-day operation

* Maintaining records, files, statistical data, suspense system, leave and time and attendance records

* Understanding and articulating policies relating to patron fees, waiting lists and program events

* Coordinating vacancies and reservations for the hourly care program as required

* Ensuring risk management procedures (i.e., abuse prevention, identification, and reporting procedures; accident prevention, etc.) are followed

* Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required

* Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position

* A one year probationary period may be required

* Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check

* Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty

* Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.m., and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.

* Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.

* Successful completion of training requirements and demonstrated on the job competency is required.

* Travel to on and off post locations required.

* Successful completion of pre-employment physical and background check.

* Must be able and willing to work an irregular schedule, to include evenings and weekends, depending on the organization's needs.

Qualifications

Progressively responsible administrative duties.

* Skill in operating a manual or electric typewriter and current automation system and software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Power Point, Excel) required.

* Must be able to type 40 wpm. (must be reflected on your resume)

* Knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation and composition techniques needed to accurately type a variety of material from written sources or voice recordings.

* Possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

HIGHLY PREFERRED: Knowledge of formats, forms, typing policies and common terminology of the program for which the work is to be performed.
