* Serves as Logistics Management Specialist for a team within the Exercise Division, Logistics Exercise and Simulation Directorate of the National Simulation Center.

* Assists in planning, developing, and executing the employment of the Logistics Federate model and providing support for exercises conducted worldwide.

* Assists in coordinating requirements with sister services, joint and combined headquarters, major commands, other training agencies, appropriate allied headquarters, and training unit participants.

* Incumbent will be required to participate in both functional and technical verification / validation of exercise databases used to facilitate the use of Sustainment training simulations models.

* Applies broad knowledge of US Army concepts and doctrine, knowledge of current Army tactics and support operations, and knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of US Army organizations in designing exercise scenarios.

* Manages and recommends modifications of simulation databases.

* Uses knowledge of Joint Training Confederation simulations and general knowledge of the use of military simulations overall, to recommend exercise design.

Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel 35% for this position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

One year of specialized experience which includes experience in testing and execution of pre and post development of simulations, participating in both functional and technical verification/validation of exercise databases used for sustainment training simulation models in Joint, Command, or Sustainment stand-alone training exercises conducted at Battalion/Brigade through Unified Command levels.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
