About the Position:

This position is located at: United States Army Engineer District, Louisville, Real Estate Division, Military Branch, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Description of the Working Environment: The work is usually performed in an office setting. Some on site effort is required (10 to 20%) at the installations for on-site inspections/staff assistance visits.

* Assist the Chief of Real Estate monitoring and development of programs to ensure Army Reserve policy and procedures reflect and enforce Army policy, regulatory and statutory requirements.

* Review draft acquisitions, out-granting, in-granting, utilization, disposal and contract interface actions and applies laws and regulations to non-routine and complex problems.

* Review the real property inventory and approves requests in the Army databases.

* Provide guidance to ensure that real property accountability systems for the Regional Support Command (RSC) and Installations are up-to-date and that regulations are followed in accounting for changes in real property assets.

* Assist Army Reserve Installations and Regional Support Commands with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements in support of Chief Financial Officers Act.

* Conduct analyses of Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) data to ensure compliance with FIAR requirements.

To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. (General or Specialized) experience is defined as: Reviewing, interpreting, and providing guidance on real estate issues, policies, and changes impacting real estate management; and applying real-estate principles and concepts and practices; and ensure that projects within areas of specific responsibility are completed in a timely manner and within budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
