The Payroll Administrator opportunity will be located in Florissant, Missouri as a short term temporary role. How you will make an impact - Reviewing and verifying source documents - Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines - Answer questions and requests related to payroll information - Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly ones, for department heads - Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Promote employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and keeping information confidential - Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data - Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll - Follow established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations and report changes as necessary - Manage employee deductions and other liabilities - Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment - Organize and compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages in order to draft relevant reports - Manage other tasks as assigned - Retrieve and assess information in order to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Previous experience using accounting software - Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data - Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred - Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Understanding of internal controls - Relevant experience of 2+ years in payroll - Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Prior experience working with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
