Entry Level (< 2 years of work experience)

Tasks:

ABB is seeking an Assembler who will be a part of our Medium Voltage Services in Florence, South Carolina. Under general supervision you would perform tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require a thorough knowledge of assembly techniques, tools, materials, machines, and equipment. Works from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals or verbal instructions

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Under general supervision, perform basic and complex assembly, wiring, and erection of products and systems.

* Read and interpret engineering configuration and wiring drawings.

* May work nonstandard schedules and/or at off-site locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.

* Perform duties in a manner compliant with prevailing quality procedures and policies.

* Perform other related duties as assigned by Team lead or management.

* Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees

* Work with Operational Specialist to solve issues

* Overtime accountability

* Ensure involvement with cycle count and inventory control

* Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 6S protocol

* Manufacture and pack products as necessary

* Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas

* Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

Requirements:

Basic qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred qualifications:

* Good understanding of computers

* Knowledge of SAP

* Inventory control experience

* Basic math skills

* 2-5 year(s) of related experience in assembly.

* Local to Florence, SC

* Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
