Job Description

As a Field Sales Engineer the employee will be responsible for supporting the sales efforts in the US for the FLIR Enterprise product line. This includes network video management platforms, IP cameras, analytics, integration solutions and COTS hardware. This position will need to work closely with FLIR's regional sales managers and manufacturer reps to support our system integrators/dealers, A&E consultants and end users.

Detailed Description:

* Support sales managers and manufacturer reps in achieving company sales goals. This includes live product demos, account management, tradeshow support and in general being a technical resource

* Conduct design sessions with customers on their specific application scenarios

* Assist in preparing customer price quotes and system design proposals. This includes responding to RFP and RFI's for project opportunities

* Deliver product demonstrations on site or via webinars to potential clients

* Assist Architects & Engineers in preparing project specifications

* Support customer evaluations and test pilots

Requirements:

* Degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, MS or related field

* 4 or more years of experience in supporting the architecture design and operation of video management software solutions and IP cameras

* Working knowledge of Windows OS platforms such as Server 2012/2016 and Windows 10, SQL database and Active Directory.

* Good understanding of VM platforms, cloud solutions and Cyber Security concepts

* In-depth knowledge of networking concepts (routing, switching, TCP/IP protocols and POE standards)

* Familiarity of video compression technologies such as MPEG-4, H.264 and H.265

* Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal

* Excellent presentation and people facing skills

* Experience with drawing programs such as Visio to develop conceptual system diagrams

* Prior experience either with other companies offering similar technology or worked in other positions within FLIR in a different capacity. Troubleshooting skills is a plus

* Must be willing to travel 60% or more.
