POSITION PROFILE

The Software and Maintenance Support Specialist is responsible for selling software and related services via the telephone to current Customers. The Software Maintenance and Support Specialist provides support, assistance, and direction pertaining to Ricoh branded and 3rd Party software and related services sales. The Software Maintenance and Support Specialist closes sales that are the result of outbound/inbound phone calls. The phone call is the result of qualified leads/opportunities generated (should we be more specific to the focus on Renewals) by them, Product Specialists, Solution Partners, Marketing Campaigns, etc. The Software Maintenance and Support Specialist is accountable for sales quota attainment and for Customer Satisfaction within their respective assignment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Identify decision makers, identify opportunities by understanding the customer/prospect's environment & needs

* Ability to detail features and benefits, handle customer objections, sell the value of Ricoh Software Solutions and related services, negotiating, and closing sales.

* Work directly with customers to secure software maintenance & support contract by evaluating customer's support requirements and recommending options/solutions, where necessary

* Support account growth through identifying add on or expansion opportunities.

* Responsible for forecasting SW/SVCS revenue in given assignment working with Customers, Ricoh employees, f and Business Partners as necessary

* Document customer activity and findings using sales CRM

* Maintain current and accurate data within all systems

* Create and/or deliver proposal and contracts, if necessary, working with the Customers, Ricoh Employees and Business Partners as necessary

* Validate all customer required information and ensure offering/pricing are correct

* Submit signed contract and appropriate documentation -- i.e.: contract, purchase order, checklist and COD approval to the required group for order processing

* Collaborate with software business partners to resolve customer issues in a timely manner and escalate unresolved issues

* Maintain knowledge of software products & related services as necessary including maintenance renewal programs and products.

* Drives to achieve and exceed revenue targets

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)

Typically Required:

* Minimum 2 year college degree; 4 year degree preferred, or related experience

* 1-3 years software and services telesales experience is required

* Experience with Solution Sales is desired
