Information Assurance Specialist

Key Role:

Manage efforts to provide systems security authorization support. Oversee and manage information security activities related to the deployment of the eMAPS solution. Supervise security testing and security accreditation support to maintain authorization. Manage the security accreditation package to account for any new eMAPS capabilities. Oversee staff development of documentation to achieve security authorization, reflecting agency specific control implementations. Supervise the development of applicable System Security Plans (SSPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Supervise other information assurance or security specialists.

Basic Qualifications:

* 7+ years of experience as an information assurance specialist

* Experience with performing analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures

* Experience with the design, development, engineering, and implementation of solutions that meet security requirements

* Experience with developing and implementing information assurance or security standards and procedures

* Experience with coordinating, developing, and evaluating security programs for an organization

* Experience with recommending information assurance or security solutions to support clients' requirements

* Experience with identifying, reporting, and resolving security violations and performing vulnerability or risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle

* TS/SCI clearance

* BA or BS degree in CS or Computer Engineering

* DoD 8570 Certification, including Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
