A passion for employee communications is sought for global automotive financial services company, based out of Farmington Hills, Mich. The contractor partners with internal customers and leaders to provide strategic communications support and communicate internal programs and initiatives to specific audiences. The contractor thinks strategically and creates internal communications to inform employees about global, regional and local company goals, challenges and achievements; as well as to inspire employees to take pride and ownership in the company and to drive performance and business results.

The primary responsibilities of the contractor include:

* Coordinate internal news information and placement across different channels including print, online, electronic, face-to-face

* News and feature writing for print and electronic communication

* Creates social media content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and other platforms

* Continuously researches new social media platforms

* Creates social media strategy for MBFS platforms

* Assists in creating brand journalism site and employee-based content

* Supports implementation and content management for internal social media community

* Creates multi-media assets

* Conducts media and social media monitoring

* Shoots and edits video utilizing Final Cut Pro software for Mac

* Provide writing, editing and proofreading expertise to the Office of the President , Human Resources, internal projects and leadership team

* Build productive relationships with internal customers (executives and employees) and internal audience

* Manage an editorial calendar

* Partner with global communications team to support global initiatives and communications channels. Work closely with Americas Communications team to exchange professional expertise and corporate communications guidance

* Support, organize and facilitate corporate events and meetings

* Provide project management, other internal communications functions

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

* A degree in Communications, English, Journalism or related fields

* 3 to 6 years of communications experience

* Employee communications experience

* Exceptional writing skills

* Research and editing skills

* Time management and planning

* Ability to develop creative solutions

* Ability to work effectively with a team, as well as independently

* Positive professional attitude

* Attention to detail

* Multimedia, social media strategy and video experience
