Front Desk & Will Call Associate

We are looking for a customer service oriented individual who has multi-tasking ability to be able to cover three roles and create a positive experience for all customers, both internal and external! This position is the face of the company for everyone that walks through our front door, and assists customers in placing and picking up on-sight orders.


  • Tuesday Friday, 8am 5pm
  • Saturday, 8am 2pm

Wage: Starting wage is $14.50/hour, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities:

Front Desk

This receptionist role is key to first impressions and connecting people

  • Greet visitors, record in the visitor log, and assist with directing them to the location and/or people necessary
  • Take general calls and forward to the appropriate team member
  • Updating the reader board and other communications
  • Scan Bills of Lading for processing, and then deliver to the individual who processes
  • Keep area clean and the coffee ready

Will Call

This role helps local customers and the general public who want to place an order (over the phone or in person) and come in to pick up that order

  • Assist customers with placing orders in person or via phone; includes listening to their needs, looking up product on the computer, confirming the cost and volume with the customer, inputting the order, and processing the payment or account credit
  • Will work with the warehouse team to get the order picked for the customer
  • Direct the customer to the correct dock to pick up their order
  • Daily balancing of Will Call transactions

Customer Service

Our Customer Service team takes calls from customers in a multi-state radius to assist with orders and questions

  • Will be on the rotation for incoming calls to assist, particularly during high volume call times
  • Focus is to answer customer questions and assist with order placements
  • Works with Vendors, Brokers and Sales Associates to optimize sales opportunities, samples and receipt of special delivery products

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read and write English fluently as relates to job requirements
  • At least 1 year customer service experience, preferably in food service, restaurant or distribution center operation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Basic telephone, computer and data entry skills, including: Word, Excel, and 10 key
  • Professional attitude and appearance required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand and respond to the needs of both internal and external customers
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
