POSITION SUMMARY:

Supervises all manufacturing activities on shift to achieve efficient production and quality requirements and maintain goals and objectives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Manages available resources to ensure on-time production and delivery of customer orders.

* Ensures compliance with OSHA and safety regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

* Verifies that production data are accurately recorded.

* Assists in daily production needs (overtime coverage, etc.)

* Schedules the throughput of Compounding department to meet the needs of production schedules, as needed.

* Identifies training needs and works with Training Coordinator to schedule appropriate training.

* Constantly evaluates existing processes and establishes/oversees teams to continuously improve these processes.

* Routinely evaluates and reviews employee performance, provides appropriate feedback to employees, and documents substandard performance.

* Assures that production meets quality requirements.

* Communicates with other shifts/departments in order to coordinate activities within the facility.

* Performs timekeeping functions as authorized.

* Assists Senior Process Improvement Engineer with process improvement activities.

* Assists in the creation of a safety culture by working in a safe manner, reporting unsafe contidions and accidents, following safety procedures, requesting and using safety equipment and safety techniques, and participating in safety training.

* Promotes and supports a Lean environment within the facility.

* Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School or Equivalent

Prefer one to two years college credits in Business Administration or Technical School

Experience: 3-5 years

Production supervision or equivalent

Direct/Indirect Reports:

Hourly Direct and Indirect production employees

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand frequently and lift 35 lbs. on a regular basis, up to 50 lbs. occasionally and able to push 25 lbs.
