Transportation Specialist (On-Call)

Why We Need This Position

TEAGUE mockups and inventory don't just move themselves. We need people on the ground dedicated to the safe and careful handling and transit of our creations and able to maintain the equipment and vehicles that transport them. That's where you come in.

Who We're Looking For

This role involves wearing many hats and putting a wide array of skills to work on any given day. First and foremost, it's your responsibility to coordinate in-house transportation of goods with internal customers, clients and suppliers. You'll operate a TEAGUE box truck to pick up and deliver inventory, mockups, and equipment within the greater Seattle area, loading, securing and unloading all while adhering to best practices and legal requirements. You know how to properly operate forklift, pallet jack and other material handling equipment in a shop environment. In addition, you'll provide blocking, bracing, staging and securing of cargo shipments as required and conduct regular vehicle inspections and schedule maintenance. It's also up to you to maintain, identify issues with and notify management of risks with shop tools and equipment, general facility maintenance and /or facility-related issues and tasks. You are a stickler for safety, knowledgeable about security procedures and prepared to report potentially unsafe conditions to appropriate management.

You are adept at anticipating your colleagues' and clients' needs and have an extremely high level of organization and attention to detail. * Experience: High school diploma; 3+ years' experience safely driving company vehicles and conducting facility and equipment maintenance activities; valid Washington State Driver's License; Driving record must meet TEAGUE's requirements for operation of company vehicle; proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite skills; knowledge of legal requirements for transporting commercial goods in Washington State

* Special skills: Knowledge of construction standards including techniques, terminology and equipment; experience utilizing automotive GPS systems, and following written and verbal driving directions; operation of lift gates and dock plates experience; experience operating a forklift, pallet jack and other material-handling equipment

* Physical requirements: Ability to walk, reach, grab, climb ladders, talk, and hear; ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day; frequently required to lift 50 pounds and 25 overhead

* Passion: Vehicles; vehicle safety; tinkering with machinery and equipment; and keeping things running like a Swiss clock

* Role: Ensuring seamless transportation of TEAGUE mockups and inventory

* Personality: Great with people, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, problem-solver
