Position SummaryThe Midwest Regional Business office, located in Evansville, IN, supporting the US Oncology Network is looking for a Billing Specialists to join our dedicated team! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensures that all charges for services rendered by the practice are captured and entered into our Practice Management System via charge interfaces or manual data entry

* Reviews any billing errors and edits to validate correct claim submission, and no missed revenue

* Capture and entry for a variety of service lines; Medical, Gyn and Radiation Oncology as well as all diagnostic imaging and support services

* Reviews patient charts for completeness. Completes data entry of the charges into Practice Management System. Completes review of interface transactions and resolution of TES edits.

* Communicates to the clinical teams regarding missing charges that require additional documentation for charge capture. Reports any delays in obtaining information to management.

* Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient's records

* Other duties as requested or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* Minimum of two (2) years medical billing or equivalent experience required.

* Medical coding experience strongly preferred.

* Proficiency in HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-9/10 coding required

* Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required.

* Working knowledgeable of state, federal, and third party claims processing required
