Description

The Eugene Water & Electric Board is seeking a Meter Data Analyst to perform work related to advanced water and electric metering operations. This position is responsible for supporting communication between meters and base applications, monitoring systems and individual meters for performance to ensure meters are communicating as intended, validating data for accuracy and identifying and resolving meter communication problems by working with a diverse set of stakeholders. This role will also develop and maintain queries and reports, perform technical troubleshooting, and create and maintain procedural and business process documentation.

The Meter Data Analyst serves as a resource for colleagues and stakeholders with less knowledge of meter data. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and ensuring all metering systems are functioning properly and data is accurately being provided to the billing system/Customer Information System (CIS), and Meter Data Management System (MDMS). Duties are performed with independent judgment.

Minimum Training and Experience Required

Requirements as a Qualification & Progression

Minimum Experience: Four years of work experience monitoring, analyzing, reporting, and maintaining critical data in enterprise-wide application systems. Water and electric utility experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, accounting, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering or other related business or technical area.

Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Experience analyzing water distribution and smart grid data.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and education may be qualifying.
