DHL Express currently has an opportunity for a Network Control Group Supervisor at our CVG Hub in Erlanger, KY. The Network Control Group manages the performance of aircraft and truck arrivals and departures throughout the DHL Network, coordinating the centralized gathering and distribution of system information and the alternate and contingency plans for expedient movement of customer materials, manages the scheduled system for optimum performance, and directs and coordinates contingencies with the hub, field, airline, and ground transportation groups.

Tasks & Accountabilities

* Supervises the movement of material through the system by determining the most expedient and economical means available to meet business delivery requirements and schedules, and making routing changes in response to irregular operations.

* Ensures the efficient and safe operation of the system, communicates with field locations, hubs, contracted carriers, and other departments as appropriate.

* Gathers and monitors up-to-the-minute data on all DHL material moving within the system, acting as the central information source to Service Centers and operations.

* Provides direction on the need for irregular aircraft routing or for adding a charter aircraft to a route.

* Assesses shipment specifications and gives clearance on the movement of oversized/ overweight shipments.

* Approves/denies requests for air movement of shipments exceeding DHL size parameters.

* Supervises the ground movement of aircraft and personnel.

* Performs clearinghouse function for all dangerous goods to include the identification, handling, and emergency procedure as per DHL General Operating Manual.

* Provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to less-experienced hub, gateway or terminal warehouse professionals.

Skills & Qualifications

* Minimum 3 years supervisory experience· BS/BA in related discipline and minimum 5 years of experience in related field preferred.

* Advanced Level Skills in MS Word and Excel

* Strong communication (oral and written) skills

* Flexible and willing to work any shift

Work Schedule

As needed; all shifts. including weekends/holidays
