BRIEF SUMMARY OF ROLE

This role is responsible for in-process and final inspection of manufactured product and the subsequent recording and reporting of in-process and final inspection results. This position will perform inspections on manufactured product, documenting the results of these inspections and isolating nonconforming product.

Job Requirements

MAIN FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Communication of quality requirements to Machine Operators/Automatic Machine Operators, as necessary.

* Distribution of Quality Documentation to work station (Quality and Manufacturing).

* Filing/storage of inspection samples and inspection documentation.

* Final inspection.

* First Piece Inspections.

* In-process attribute/functional gauging (where required).

* In-process SPC monitoring and reporting.

* Isolation and documentation of nonconforming product.

* Minor layout inspections of reworked/rebuilt tools.

* Sorting and certifying rejected or returned non-conforming product.

* Additional tasks as requested by production supervision team to aid in producing, inspecting, and shipping quality product on time.

* Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

* At least 1 year experience in an Inspection Role outside the Company.

* At least 1 year in another role within the Company (preferably as a Machine Operator or Automatic Machine.

* Basic math skills.

* Filing skills.

* General understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control Theory, procedures, practices and especially inspection procedures.

* Good communication skills (verbal, written).

* Good reading and comprehension skills.

* Handling and use of applicable measuring and test equipment.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Thorough knowledge of the Company's product lines.

* Thorough understanding of potential failure mode's of the Company's product lines.

* Use and control of Inspection Stamps and Labels.

* Working knowledge of computers.

* Working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control).
