Job Description

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team! This individual will be responsible for leading and administering human resource processes, policies and programs for one or more facilities of Essentra. The major areas of responsibilities include: recruitment and selection, employee onboarding, performance management, compensation, employee relations and training and development.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities would include but not limited to:

* Working with site leadership, supervisors and employeess at all levels leading the human resources initiatives to achieve business goals.

* Develop an effective recruitment strategy and manage the recruitment, selection and onboarding of all hourly and salaried personnel.

* Train and coach managers and employees on topics including performance management, benefits and wellness, workplace diversity and Essentra business policies.

* Working with the Regional HR team, performing local market analyses in order to recommend wage and salary structure, pay policies and changes or modifications to current wage and salary programs.

* Foster strong employee relations and maintain positive employee communication through town hall meetings and publications to employees.

* Oversee employee disciplinary and termination procedures and coach managers on resolving employee issues.

* Ensure accuracy of employee data in the HRIS system and employee files, along with HR metrics and reporting.

* Support the payroll process, administration and communicaton for site employees.

* Manages the company's interests in unemployment claims and workers' compensation programs.

The qualified candidate will have the following:

* A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the human resources area, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in interfacing with union representation preferred.

* Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Human Resources or Business Management preferred.

* Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, communications, performance management and training and development.

* Advanced project management skills.

* Strong technical skills/aptitude; proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.

* Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
