Individual will perform a variety of technical and clerical work associated with the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the area's Electric Distribution System. Individual must possess good public relations skills and demonstrate a high service orientation with regard to customer needs, including meeting service dates, service reliability, electric equipment operating problems, etc. Individual should possess a working knowledge of computers. Will have storm restoration and emergency assignments. The ultimate rate for this position is $38.08 per hour.


An Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology or the equivalent in combined education and experience and four years of related electric distribution experience is required. Other requirements include: a working knowledge of electrical and construction nomenclature, equipment and procedures; must be capable of accurately interpreting blue prints and company circuit maps; effective written and oral skills; knowledge of the National Electric Code as it pertains to service installations and customer requirements; and knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code as it pertains to the Eversource distribution system. Must hold a valid motor vehicle operator's license. The individual will be required to successfully pass the EEI Technician's aptitude test.
