Position Summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has a unique opportunity for an experienced Scheduler supporting our diagnostic imaging team in Greenwood Village.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Handles incoming phone calls from patients and physicians to schedule or reschedule internal diagnostic imaging appointments in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel. -Handles new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, assigns the patient account number and schedules appointment. -Collects co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit. Provides patients with accurate and legible appointment cards and instructions. Documents no shows in patient's chart for missed visits. Follows up with patient to reschedule any missed appointments. -Arranges for patients to have financial counseling as needed. -Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.-Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office. Covers for other front office functions as requested.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent required. Position requires at least 3 year office experience, medical office preferred. Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency with computer systems a requirement. Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) a plus.

Employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination for computer work. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range for telephone contacts.
