Executive Director, Cloud Transformation, Engineering and Operations Leader

We’re looking for Executive Director, Cloud Transformation, Development and Operations. With this role, you’ll eventually work at our global headquarters in Denver, Colorado but will work remotely until we return to HQ.

You’ll be strategic in assessing industry technology trends, driving rapid incubation and adoption, while also being operationally focused in managing the service availability of enterprise infrastructure footprint.

What you’ll be doing:

As the Cloud Transformation and Engineering leader, you have a proven track record in leading transformation strategy and execution of legacy infrastructure to a cloud model and developing cloud-native business solutions. Have experience working with AWS, Azure or GCP with cloud-based product and service offering design experience? This just may be the role for you.

The role reports into the CTO organization, and would influence current infrastructure and application delivery organizations, including Cloud-DevOps teams to provide architectural leadership and best practices.

On a typical day, you’ll:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for organization’s cloud end-to-end architecture, including AWS/Azure/GCP and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management
  • Develop, lead and mentor a world-class cloud-native software development and engineering organization.
  • Responsible for developing cloud solutions, API management and cloud services on serverless platforms and containers.
  • Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on the organization’s application portfolio, as a basis for deploying services to the cloud
  • Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services
  • Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks
  • Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications
  • Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations
  • Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements
  • Act as the coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks

Why you? What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related subject; an advanced degree is preferred
  • 15 years’ experience in designing large and complex IT operations in large organizations, with 5 years in leading cloud transformation is required,on AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience developing software and services, on cloud native platforms using full stack technologies, cloud databases and containers such as Kubernestes and Docker.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes
  • Extensive experience developing architecture solutions, delivery models, operations using one of the major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • The position requires strong leadership and team-building skills, and must be able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing individuals.
  • Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture
  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and/or client/server systems
  • Experience working in a XaaS businesses or contact centers preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $128,000-$219,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
