Customer Service Representative/Teller will be responsible for opening and cross-servicing Benchmark products for its new branch location in Emporia.

* Enhancing customer relationships by understanding all of the bank's products and services, initiating conversations to identify customers' needs and recommending products and services to match those needs including referrals to the investment program

* Ordering Visa check cards

* Assisting with Internet Banking and Bill Pay (E-Services Specialist)

* Assisting customers with changes to accounts

* Taking personal ownership of any customer problems to see that they get resolved

* Handling renewals of Time Deposits.

* Selling savings bonds

* Opening safe deposit box accounts and admitting customers to boxes

* Providing bookkeeping information and assisting with account problems

* Receiving customers, visitors, salesmen, etc. and directing them to proper person

* Answering telephone and directing calls to proper person (when designated)

* Selling official checks and preparing daily report of same

* Assisting Relationship Bankers with real estate loans when Loan Assistant is absent

* Picking up, opening and distributing mail

* Sending sympathy, get-well cards and birthday e-cards to customers

* Performing other general secretarial duties as requested

* Distribute incoming marketing materials to the proper areas in the branch and ensure all marketing materials are properly maintained and displayed

* View reports (frequency varies) in pursuit of either correcting issues or making information available to customers

* Assisting customers with incoming/outgoing wires

* Ordering branch supplies from various vendors

* Other duties as may be assigned

Relationship Teller Duties

* Greeting customers and initiating dialogue to determine their banking needs

* Routine accepting of deposits and payments, disbursing cash, and day-end settlement of same

* Enhancing customer relationships by understanding all of the bank's products and services, initiating conversations to identify customers' needs and recommending products and services to match those needs

* Taking personal ownership of any customer problems to see that they get resolved

* Directing customers to various departments of the bank when requests are not normally handled by tellers

* Adhering to cash drawer limits and transferring excess cash to Vault Teller

* Ordering and verifying cash received from Vault Teller

* Giving account balances to customers when requested

* Answering telephones when needed

* Completing Currency Transaction Report (CTR) for all transactions over $10,000

* Assisting with night deposits (dual control)

* Scanning work to proof daily

* Other duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of previous banking experience and strong relationship building skills.
