Sales Account Executive - Multiple Markets

This position is responsible for successfully managing new business leads and closing new business in regional markets according to Deringer’s evolving strategic focus. This role is focused on revenue generation by proactively selling customs brokerage services, IFF, and other Deringer lines of business to prospective clients, while also evaluating existing client relationships to identify opportunities for growth.

Makes sales calls, and attends client on-site meetings, with new prospects and existing customers from sales leads, referrals, call lists, as well as from other resources.

Effectively manages prospect pipeline by properly maintaining pipeline by completing thorough market research and pursuing networking opportunities

Generates interest and sells all services to current and potential customers.

Works effectively with a team of sales, operations, and customer service and support personnel to obtain sales and increase revenue.

Builds customer relationships and promotes a positive company image.

Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to promote a positive company image while generating revenue

Consistently achieves defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and net revenue goals by line of business.

Prepares sales quotes and proposals for prospects and existing customers and follows up to close the sale.

Stays current on all Deringer services, tools, and changes in the marketplace (e.g., regulatory, competitors).

Maintains and updates the CRM system; enters notes, schedules activities, updates sales plan as required.

Grows territory in alignment with company goals.

Prepares and delivers sales presentations and follows up with key decision makers.

Solves problems for current customers by initiating contact with appropriate resource, either internal or external.

Attends trade shows, special events, and seminars to identify sales opportunities and build relationships.

Requires frequent travel (60% weekly during normal business operations) within defined sales territory, routinely beyond this territory including visits to the Deringer home office and other Deringer offices throughout the US.

Reviews monthly net revenue report and adjusts sales and sold plan accordingly.

Assists with collection activities, as needed.

May be assigned special projects or require assisting in other business areas, as needed and assigned my management.
