Aerospace Systems sector is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA, where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Tooling Department working in a collaborative environment while promoting positive and proactive teamwork.

Manufacturing Engineering job duties in the Tooling Department involve the following: provide guidance for design concepts to ensure the best tooling technique is being used to satisfy the design and manufacturing process, participate in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible and support build times and program costs during assembly, manage special tooling fabrication and procurement costs, and provide liaison support internally as well as to external suppliers.

Manufacturing Engineers within the Tooling Department are expected to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and difficult problems. They are problem solvers who have the ability to provide results that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives. We seek Manufacturing Engineers that use a unique skill set that includes a hand-on approach and act as a technical representative voice for the Tooling organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 0 years of experience OR work experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree with 7 years of experience with AA and 10 years of experience with a high school diploma in production assembly/fabrication (aerospace preferred) including, but not limited to, composites, metallic, and production manufacturing operations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs?
