The SW MRO Purchasing Manager will Manage the site'sMRO procurement function, while supporting the goals and objectives of thecompany. Directs and coordinatesactivities of personnel engaged in MRO purchasing in the Juarez site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Reasonableaccommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to performthe essential functions.)

* Manages, organizes, and leads the site's purchasing staff. This includes: establishing key performance indicators (kpis) for staff; regular measurement of performance to the kpis; timely feedback of performance to employees; establishment of performance improvement plans, if necessary; and headcount and workload management.

* Ensures buyers are executing activities effectively. This includes: procuring parts timely; sourcing from the correct ("preferred" suppliers, when possible) suppliers; buying parts at the correct price; procuring material in the correct quantities; and ensuring components are delivered on-time.

* Lead buyers' effort in negotiating discounts on purchases.

* Negotiates directly with existing and potential suppliers, ensuring Key Tronic obtains the best possible price and delivery date.

* Lead efforts to find potential suppliers, with the focus being cost reductions, and improved service and quality levels.

* Supports supply chain programs which allow KeyTronic to maintain optimum inventory levels.

* Reviews and authorizes purchase orders.

* Support buyers with resolving supplier quality and delivery issues.

* Serve as escalation point for buyers in the resolution of delivery issues to support supplier's committed delivery dates.

* Assists in preparing instructions, training manuals, and other documents to support systems and procedures.

* Responsible for department budget, and responsible for adhering to Corporate Policies and Procedures.

* Performs initial review of proposed contracts from existing and new suppliers, and ensures that contracts are forwarded to the Director of North America Materials for review, and the Vice President of Supply Chain for signature.

* Other duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED:

Thisposition reports directly to the Director of North America Materials, andmanages employees in the Juarez Procurement department. Position is responsible for overall direction,coordination, and evaluation of the employees' assigned duties andresponsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Seven years'experience in purchasing or supply chain management, with a strong emphasis inMRO and Capital Expenditure procurement.

* Four years' purchasingleadership experience including technical development, motivating, conductingperformance appraisals, and assignment and monitoring of goals and objectives.

* Sound knowledgeof import/export functions.

* Experiencenegotiating contracts in a cost competitive market.

* Strong experiencewith local supply base.

* Strong leadershipskills; ability to deal and relate to people at all levels of the organization.

* Self-motivatedwith demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle andprioritize multiple projects simultaneously, in a timely manner, in afast-paced environment.

* Sound written andoral communication skills; must be able to write and understand routinereports, follow oral and written instructions, and speak effectively.

* Stronginterpersonal skills; ability to relate to and work with diverse groups ofpeople.

* Must haveknowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment and be familiarwith commonly used email, Internet, word processing, databases and spreadsheets.

* Must have a highlevel of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situationsand materials. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact anddiplomacy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degreein business or a related discipline.

* Ten-plus years' experience in procurement or materials management.

* Six-plus years' Purchasing Manager experience.

* Three years' Purchasing Manager experience in Contract Manufacturing and EMS industry, with an emphasis in supporting MRO and Capital Expenditure procurement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employeeis regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects,talk, hear, and see. The employee mustoccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance,stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast-paced; time pressured,and requires accuracy. The employee willregularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout theoffice building, and effectively communicate. The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical settingwith some areas that may be louder at times.
