GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Outreach Coordinator will serve to advocate and educate the community about Bienvivir and services provided via the PACE model in an effort to generate referrals. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of all formal outreach activities for the organization to include community forums, health, and educational fairs and all other outreach activities deemed relevant to promote Bienvivir. The Outreach Coordinator will support marketing activities and events and assist the Marketing Manager with administrative support and event coordination. The Outreach Coordinator will respond to formal and informal information requests for PACE education to facilitate referrals. The Outreach Coordinator will enter, track, and manage referrals within the marketing Customer Referral Management.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

A. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

1. High School Diploma; prefer two (2) years of college level work in journalism, public relations, marketing/advertising.

2. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in community public relations.

3. Valid Texas Driver’s License; Motor Vehicle Driving record check will be conducted.

B. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

1. Knowledge of marketing/outreach principles with ability to implement strategies that promote Bienvivir.

2. A dependable individual with a strong knowledge base and keen understanding and appreciation of the elderly, the PACE program and Bienvivir.

3. Strong interpersonal communication, written, and organizational skills; public speaking skills and experience.

4. The ability to clearly present to the community the philosophy and basic structure of the PACE model, and the Vision and Mission of Bienvivir.

5. The skill to work collectively and communicate effectively with staff, community contacts, participants and family members.

6. Bilingual; (English/Spanish).

7. Must have proficiency in MS Office applications, desktop publishing and spreadsheet software.

8. Must have the ability to effectively prepare and present information to various groups.

9. The ability to work independently or with others to manage multiple tasks with minimum supervision.

Job Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Initiates and maintains effective relationships with community organizations, agencies, hospitals, government agencies, churches, schools, etc. as part of Bienvivir awareness activities.

2. As directed by the Marketing Manager, the Outreach Coordinator will implement elements of the Marketing Plan that delineate outreach activities (formal and informal, internal and external) in support of the Organization’s Strategic Plan.

3. Will work with the Marketing Manager to develop and maintain active referral sources.

4. As directed by the Marketing Manager, the Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for coordination, logistics, and participation/representation at all health fairs, community outreach activities, and promotional campaigns.

5. Appropriately screens inquiries to ensure referrals meet minimum PACE/Bienvivir qualification criteria.

6. Responsible for the distribution of all marketing and promotional materials. Will communicate to Marketing Manager when supplies require re-ordering to ensure adequate stock is available at all times.

7. Manage referrals and referral contacts ensuring inquiries are promptly responded to with optimal customer service and professionalism.

8. When assigned, operate company vehicles in a safe manner. Check out and maintain vehicle log per established protocol. Report any vehicle maintenance issues to supervisor.

9. May contribute material, as approved by the Marketing Manager, for possible inclusion in the Organization’s website and/or newsletter.

10. Conduct tours of Bienvivir facilities as requested and as per tour schedule.

11. Will carry out other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
