Contract Coordinator

DUTIES:

* Provide oversight of landscaping and athletic contracts.

* Prepare contracts, develop standards & perform quality control to obtain desired results.

* Monitor & evaluate the maintenance of grounds & play surfaces at sport complexes.

* Render sports turf advice, assistance & services to the responsible sports partners.

* Inspect contractor work upon completion & issue list of items that need to be corrected.

* Assist with the annual operating budget and expenditures for related costs.

* Review & process invoices, create purchase orders, authorize payments.

* Proactively identify opportunities to improve the maintenance of City property.

* Write, review & update contract specifications based on current industry standards.

* Perform all aspects of the municipal bidding process.

* Maintain accurate records, prepare correspondence & reports.

* Monitor performance of sport service partners & ensure agreements are being followed.

* Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must have high school diploma or GED, prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

* 2 years related experience, specialized schooling, or equivalent combination of experience & training.

* Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver's License & acceptable driving record.

* Must be have or obtain International Society of Arboriculture Certification, within 18 months of hire.

* Must have or obtain Certified Applicator within 18 months of hire.

* Skill in the use of computers, Microsoft Office, & able to learn other programs.

* Knowledge of contract requirements and project bidding preferred.

* Knowledge of forestry, arboriculture, landscaping, plants, trees, insects, diseases, & treatments, irrigations systems & design, preferred.

* Able to write reports, business correspondence & bid specifications.

* Able to effectively communicate with individuals & small groups.

* Able to occasionally work a flexible schedule.
