Job Summary

Under direct supervision, operates the organization's delivery box truck and makes deliveries on a daily basis. Process paperwork necessary for recording of deliveries and truck services. Licensed to operate a straight truck to and from company accounts and storage facilities.

Essential Job Duties

* Makes deliveries to stores, BINs and other warehouses following preplanned delivery route as scheduled.

* Records sales or deliveries information on designated daily sales or delivery record.

* Collects or picks up empty containers and pallets, or rejected or returned merchandise as directed.

* Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery as necessary.

* Operates the Handheld computer to properly record sales/delivery transactions.

* Maintain driver log according to D.O.T. regulations and submit trip reports on predetermined deadlines.

* Inspect truck equipment and supplies before and after trips and submits condition reports.

* Responsible for all truck receipts, trip reports, log books.

* Check truck fluid levels daily and fills as needed.

* Cleans inside of truck.

* May perform other duties as required.

Works under direct supervision while following all company guidelines, procedures, and policies in order to maintain a safe, clean and efficient work environment.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

* Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

* Must have excellent verbal communication skills.

* Must have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

* Must have good problem solving skills and the ability to deal with issues while maintaining a high level of customer service.

* Must be able to demonstrate self-motivation; must be detailed oriented, and have in-depth knowledge of plant processes.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), along with related experience and/or training. Prior driving experience is a plus. Must possess and maintain a good driving record.

Professional Licenses or Certifications

Must have current driver's license. DOT certification and physical (DQ file) are required if driving a Box Truck. Must have a valid driver's license that allows for the operation of our delivery vehicle(s) in accordance with our Company "Qualifications For Motor Vehicle Operation" Policy.

Travel Required

100% Daily Travel is required for purposes of delivery.
