Patient Care Floater/Certified Medical Assistant Team Leader

The Patient Care Floater, CMA/Team Lead performs Medical Assistant duties in multiple departments as assigned on a routine “fill-in“ basis. This position functions as an important member of the healthcare teams by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients' care, comfort, and safety. In addition to the responsibilities of the Patient Care Floater, CMA, the Team Leader assists with day-to-day supervisory duties and department operations. The individual performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic's mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with AAMA or RMA certified required. Documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent) required:
- Medical Terminology
- Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease
OR Current Wisconsin LPN or RN license in good standing.
Preferred/Optional Experience: Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position, which must be maintained in good standing:
- Current AAMA or RMA Medical Assistant Certification
- OR current LPN or RN license
